Maguire Rastetter

Maguire Rastetter is almost 8 years old and lives in Plain Township with his Mom Jody, Dad Michael, Sister Zoe and Black Lab Brutus Buckeye. Maguire is in 2nd grade at Warstler Elementary. Maguire loves the 5 minute math game, recess and reading, and plays soccer, baseball, and flag football.
Maguire recently found out that other kids can't play the sports that he can because they are sick with cancer. Maguire went to a doctors appt. at Akron Children's Hospital and saw children with no hair. He asked his father what was wrong, and his dad explained that the medicine they took to fight cancer makes them lose their hair.
Maguire's Dad invited him to join his co-workers, the team of the Thin Blue Line (A group of Canton City Police Officers) to shave his head to raise money for kids with cancer. Maguire raised over $700 for St. Baldricks Foundation. In his own words:
"It made me happy to be there, it was a great day! I hope it will help make these kids feel better and be able to do more things. I hope it will cure their cancer."
